Walter Lobyn Hamilton is an internationally known artist and Indiana native. A career that began as a DJ, has spun into the fine arts with works featured in television, film, and in private celebrity and museum collections. Over the years, his practice has become more entrenched in rehabilitating the term, “socially engaged arts practice”. Reviving vacant properties in his childhood neighbourhood, his objective is to root equity in the community and showcase that the arts can be accessible to neighbourhoods that have otherwise been divested or overlooked. His newest practice is the B-SIDE Creative Campus which will provide subsidized live/workspace to emerging, established, and under-served artists and creators from various disciplines, using the method of restorative creative development.
